Camping in Croatia? Chances are you’ll come across an Easyatent accommodation. Their safari tents and luxury mobile homes can be found at 15 Croatian campsites. Easyatent is a family business that was founded in 2001. Their aim? To let campers enjoy a carefree, comfortable holiday, with everything they need for a great stay.
From their office in Heerenveen, they work with a team of around 40 people. We spoke to Rob Oude Kotte, managing director, about the partnership with OSSO. How did the partnership begin, why does he choose our tents, and what does he value about the collaboration?

How the partnership began
Long before OSSO was founded, Rob first met its owners, Henk and Marcel, who were then still working for another company: “I saw some tents that I liked at a campsite. So, I got in touch and bought my first bungalow tents.” A good relationship grew from there, which eventually led Rob to start sourcing his safari tents from OSSO once it was founded.
Now, he has also established a relationship with OSSO’s suppliers, Rob explains: “I’ve visited the factories in China a few times, so I know where the tent materials are produced and I know the managing directors. Once a year, we either go to China or they visit the Netherlands.”
More than 600 OSSO tents
Easyatent currently has more than 600 OSSO tents across 15 campsites in Croatia. These are all safari tents: “I think we have a total of 40 different types. In many cases, the tent itself is the same, but the layout is different. For example, we have tents with bathroom facilities, but also some without. We can share our requirements with OSSO, and they will provide a tailor-made solution.”
To date, Rob has not considered switching to another supplier: “Of course, I know what’s available on the market. I keep an eye on what the competition is doing, but I think the way we interact with each other is just as important. Is the telephone answered when there are problems? Are they willing to think along with us? With OSSO, I can answer yes to both.”
A solution-oriented approach
Even in a long-term partnership, things do occasionally go wrong. According to Rob, what matters most is how these issues are dealt with: “At OSSO, they always focus on finding solutions; I think that’s perhaps the most important thing. What’s more, they’re very approachable and the lines of communication are short. They’re a three-person team that handles everything. That makes it a real pleasure to do business with OSSO.”
For Easyatent, it is not just the quality of the tents and the tailor-made solutions that matter. The personal contact, short communication lines and solution-oriented approach are equally important.
